Paris – Day 7 – before we go…

Ah, one final adventure awaits us before we bid farewell to this enchanting city – a delightful walkabout to the Sacre-Coeur Basilica and the charming Montmartre neighborhood.

Now, if you’re up for a challenge or feeling particularly energetic, you can embark on conquering the approximately 300 stairs that lead up to the basilica. But fret not, my friend, there’s an alternative option for those who prefer a more leisurely ascent – the funicular! It’s a fun and convenient way to make your way up to the basilica while still enjoying the scenic views.

Once at the top, prepare to be captivated by breathtaking city views from the highest point in Paris. Take your time to admire the beauty of the stunning chapel and soak in the artistic history that emanates from the Montmartre neighborhood. This area has been a vibrant hub for creativity and artistic expression throughout the years.

Now, when it comes to our remaining time before heading to the airport, we have a choice to make. Shall we wander around and explore as much as we can, making the most of our precious moments in this alluring city? Or perhaps we can find a charming cafe, sip on delightful espresso or cafe latte, and indulge in a final round of people-watching? The choice is yours, my friend. Both options sound equally tempting and enjoyable!
So, whether we meander through the streets or find a cozy cafe to savor our last moments in Paris, rest assured that it will be a memorable way to bring our journey to a close.

Before we leave the hotel we need to see about storing our luggage – if the hotel isn’t able to look after it – check out a space at a local luggage storage like Radical Storage, the bus depot/station, train station, or airport will all usually have luggage lockers for short term rent!
