We’ve got an incredible bike riding tour lined up for us, where we’ll get a chance to explore the stunning grounds of Versailles. And guess what? The tour includes entrance to the magnificent Palace as well! To get there, we’ll hop on the Metro for a scenic ride, and remember to hold on to your ticket – you’ll need it to exit the Metro stations.
Now, here’s a little tip – feel free to pack a delicious lunch for yourself if you fancy a delightful picnic on the great lawn. Picture this: basking in the sunshine and indulging in a scrumptious feast while admiring the serene surroundings. Alternatively, you can also enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the lake, while savoring your meal. How delightful does that sound?
As we explore Versailles, make sure to take your time to immerse yourself in the beauty of the gardens. Trust me, they are the highlight of Versailles (in my humble opinion, of course).
The Palace is undoubtedly stunning, but be prepared for long lines and wait times to tour the interior. Don’t worry though, you can always find heaps of pictures on the internet showcasing the opulent rooms.
If time is a concern, I recommend focusing on the gardens as they are truly a sight to behold in person. Oh, and remember to check if the fountain shows are happening during our visit. If they are, I highly recommend grabbing a ticket for the show. The fountains at Versailles are truly a mesmerizing spectacle that you won’t want to miss!
