Haha, I must say, yesterday’s art overload was just the beginning! Brace yourself for another one today!
The Louvre.
It’s so iconic that it needs no introduction. We’ll be dedicating the majority of our day to exploring this magnificent museum. Why, you ask? Well, simply because the Louvre is colossal and houses the most expansive art collection in the world. With over 380,000 objects and a staggering 35,000 works of art across eight departments, it’s truly a treasure trove. If you were to spend just one minute in front of each artwork in the Louvre, it would take you approximately 65 days to see it all! Oh, how I wish we had that luxury of time, but alas, today will have to suffice.
Fortunately, our tour is guided and focuses on the top ten must-see highlights of the museum. This includes renowned masterpieces like the enigmatic Mona Lisa, the breathtaking Venus de Milo, and hopefully, we’ll also get to admire my personal favorite, Cupid’s Kiss. Prepare to be amazed at how small the Mona Lisa actually is in real life!
After immersing ourselves in the grandeur of the Louvre all day, I believe it’s the perfect night to unwind with a luxurious hot bath, indulge in some delightful room service, and accompany it all with a good bottle of wine. It’s a well-deserved treat after an art-filled adventure!
